The foundation of every compliance testing lab are the half wavelength resonant Dipole Antennas. Initially, Willmar K. Roberts designed them and they are the ideal solution for measurements for site attenuation. Each of the antennas are manufactured with a balun loss equal to less than 0.5 dB. The VSWR is less than 1.5:1 and the half wavelength resonant dipole antenna from a theoretical point of view is the simplest model and as a gain reference are commonly used.
